Back Pain
Although back pain is rather uncommon in young children, it significantly increases as they approach adulthood. By age 18 years, the lifetime prevalence rates of low back pain approach those documented in adults, with an estimated yearly prevalence of 20% and a lifetime evalence of 75%. Thankfully, most causes of pediatric back pain are self limiting and resolve without need for intervention.
